State Approval Information
The Florida learners permit course
offered on our website is titled "Student Training Alcohol
Related Topics — Internet Version" (the START course).
The START course is a Traffic Law Substance Abuse Education
(TLSAE) course fully approved by the Florida Department of
Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Per §322.095, Florida
Statutes, any driver who has never been licensed in another
state or competent jurisdiction must complete a State-approved
TLSAE course prior to obtaining his or her first Florida driver
license. The START course fulfills this requirement for new
Florida drivers.
