What you need to know about the State of
Florida learner permit course:
The State of Florida learner
permit course is a 4-hour drug
and alcohol class required by the State of Florida
Department
of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. If you have
never had a driver
learner permit in Florida, you have to take this
course before the State will issue one to you.
What are the advantages of taking the State
of Florida learner permit course online?
By taking the State of Florida learner permit
course online, you will not have to ask your
parent, friend, or family member to drive you to a classroom.
Also, instead of being forced to sit for four hours
on a Saturday morning or weekday night, you can take
the online course on your own schedule, logging in and
out to study when you want to.
Does every online drug
and alcohol course use video?
Unfortunately, no. In fact, most learner
permit online courses do not have ANY video. Imagine
reading page after page of boring statistics without
at least some video to help break up the monotony. Our
course has VIDEO, FLASH ANIMATIONS, and is actually
INTERESTING to read!

course. The driver license test is also sometimes called
the Class E test, Class E exam, or road signs and road

permit course, you will see three options. Select the
first option to take your driver license test. You will
need to pay a testing fee to gain access to the online
driver license test, and it is available in English,
Spanish, and Creole. Save yourself the headache of testing
at the driver license office!
Will the State of Florida learner permit
course prepare me for the driver license test?
No, you must study the Florida Driver Handbook in order
to prepare for the driver license test. The Florida
drivers handbook will teach you basic Florida traffic

to be a safe Florida
first time driver.
Do I have to be 15 years old to take the learner
permit course or test?
