If you're looking for
information about the Florida
learner permit online course, you've come to the
right place. The State of Florida requires that you
take your Florida learner permit (drug and alcohol)
course before you can receive your first Florida
license (learner
permit). Here's what you need to know:
The Florida learner
permit online course is a 4-hour DHSMV-required
course that all drivers must complete before they can
receive a Florida
driver license, unless they have been licensed in
another state or in certain countries. (If you have
a license from another state, you can check with the
Florida
DHSMV to find out whether you need to take this
course.)
The learner
permit online class is also known by several
other names:
The learner
permit online course requires a minimum of
four hours to complete, but you don't have to take it
all in one sitting. Log in and out as many times as
you want and we will keep track of your course progress.
You can take this course before you reach your 15th
birthday.
The learner permit online course is NOT the same as
the driver license test (road signs and road rules test).
You may take this test ONLINE before your 15th birthday.
The test covers material from the Florida
Driver Handbook regarding rules of the road, road
signs, and pavement markings. After you finish the learner
permit course, you can pay the entry fee and take the
driver license test online.
Once you obtain your Florida driver license (learner
